Nassau DA’s office names Kenneth J. Kunken Award recipient

For the first time ever, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office presented its Kenneth J. Kunken Award to Ali Ajamu, chief of the County Court Trial Bureau. Named for ADA Ken Kunken, who despite being a quadriplegic, has gone on to serve the district attorney’s office since 1982, the award will be distributed yearly by Nassau County Assistant District Attorney Ann Donnelly. The honor is granted to an ADA who personifies Kunken’s unique spirt and love of trial work, as well as his commitment and dedication, loyalty to his colleagues and his devotion toward gaining justice.
