The Suffolk County Rehabilitation Council (SCRC), in partnership with New York State’s Association of People Supporting Employment First (NYS APSE) is going to hold a Training Event celebrating the 60th Anniversary of SCRC. Ken Kunken will deliver a presentation at 9:15AM.

Mission of the Suffolk County Rehabilitation Council:

To promote the rights of individuals with disabilities and to assist them to maximize their potential within society.

Initially chartered in 1963, the SCRC was formed to gain a better understanding of the functions of various agencies providing rehabilitation services, to coordinate these efforts and facilitate solutions of presenting problems. Emphasis was placed on planning of professional development for staff working to support people with disabilities and improve communication among community resources, professional groups, businesses, and a variety of support services.
